Crispy Flapjacks recipe
These are absolutely perfect to dip into a cup of tea. As there is less syrup, the flapjacks are less moist but still full of flavour, plus being nice and crispy. The recipe is also very easy, with only four ingredients.
Ingredients:
75g butter
75g brown sugar
175g porridge oats
1 tbsp. golden syrup
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/gas mark 4.
2. Line and grease the insides of a 25cm square cake tin.
3. Melt the butter, sugar and syrup together in a saucepan over a low heat. Once completely melted, set to one side.
4. Add the oats and stir together well.
5. Cook for 25 minutes.
6. Once cooled, cut into squares. They should be golden brown and crunchy.
You could layer these with cream and fruit compote for a yummy dessert.
